TUCSON - for the Beaders !

The following pictures will say it all for the quantity of beads and pendants available, but one does need to know what they are buying especially in the way of quality. Chinese Turquoise was plentiful, in every color of the rainbow, and when asked if it was dyed Howlite, all the vendors would say is that it is 'enhanced". Somewhere, hundreds of people or some fancy machines must be working away turning out the thousands of beads and pendants that are available.

And for those that want a nostalgic touch, Bakalite could be found all over the place.

TUCSON GEM FAIR 2010 !

Well the big one is here ! Yep, at the end of this week Tucson Gem Fair 2010 gets under way. Something for everyone -- gemstones - beads - minerals - fossils - you name it and if it is related in any way to gems, minerals or fossils, you can probably find it at one of the more than 40 shows that take palce over the next 3 weeks.

One can be overwelmed by the amount of gems and beads present.

Please bear with us for the next several weeks as we may not be able to update the web-site until return and get everything identified and catalogued. If you try calling, we have found in the past that cell-phones do not always get a good signal inside the metal buildings, so please wait a bit and try again at a later time.

MJSA EXPO West:

The Manufacturing Jewelers and Suppliers of America (MJSA) brings back the MUSA EXPO Pavilion to the Gem Fair this year. It is your destination in Tucson for tools, equipment, technology, packaging, services and supplies. MUJA will also hold bench jewelry demonstrations every day as part of their 'At the Bench Live' series.

COLORED DIAMONDS PAVILION:

As colored diamonds continue to rise in popularity, the AGTA has established a special pavilion to feature AGTA colored diamond dealers. This pavilion will be located in aisle 1600 on the GemHall floor. This pavilion will offer attendees a great selection of loose gemstones and finished settings.
